Feast of Saint Anthony

The “Sant Antoni del Porquet” festivities are one of the most anticipated by the residents of l’Eliana. They are celebrated the first weekend after the day of San Antonio Abad.

The festival begins on Friday with the firing of wheelbarrow rockets and the popular cordà. On Saturday, “la vespra” is celebrated with the Correfocs and the burning of the traditional bonfire of San Antonio in the Plaza del País Valenciano. The “Fesolà” is typical, which is distributed to the population around the bonfire.

Sunday is the “Great Festival of Sant Antoni”, the blessing of the animals and the distribution of the traditional “panet de Sant Antoni” take place.
