Located in the Sierra Calderona, the El Torrejón site is an Iberian settlement that dates back to the 6th-2nd century BC. Its large tower that flanked the access door to the town stands out; its monumentality symbolized its power and wealth. Other defensive elements that have been documented in this settlement are the presence of a moat and part of the perimeter wall. A central street has been located that would structure the town, housing, a public building and an intramural funerary site. It has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
The guided tour of the site is accompanied by an easy hiking route that allows you to enjoy this privileged natural environment and its majestic views of the Sierra Calderona Natural Park.
