Cirera Day has been celebrated in Serra since the 70s. The festival aims to publicize the traditional fruit of Serra, the cherry. That day, the Serra City Council gives visitors a small basket of cherries. Although cherry cultivation is no longer as extensive as in the past, Cherry Day continues to be celebrated and since 2005 it has been part of the Calderona Fair. Although the date may vary depending on other events, it is usually celebrated the first weekend in June.
The two days of the fair bring together a large number of local businesses that promote their products, as well as practically all festive and cultural associations that participate very actively in the life of the municipality. Workshops for children, musical performances, parades, dramatized routes and street entertainment complete the activities of the fair, which also coincides with a meeting of dolçainers and tabaleters. The Calderona Fair also wants to show the environmental and cultural values of the mountains and the tourist potential of all the towns that make up the Calderona territory. In this way, the municipalities of La Calderona and the natural park office are also present at the fair.
