The Serra fountains are places of rest and recreation for hikers and visitors. Its waters are famous in Valencia and all the towns that surround it thanks to Dr Peset, who analyzed them and valued their qualities, and also thanks to one of the traditional trades most closely linked to Serra and its mountains: water carriers.
The water bearers collected water from the sources of Berro, Llentiscle and l'Ombria, filled the carts with jugs and went down to the city and the villages of the garden to distribute it from door to door. “Duien l’aigua de Serra (…) in canterets buried among the pine trees and weekly cars” recalled the great poet of the town Vicent Andrés Estellés in his work Mural del País Valencià.
The term houses more than thirty fountains of fresh water, highlighting the Salut fountain, Deula fountain, Potrillos fountain, Sant Josep fountain, Sant Antoni fountain, Marianet fountain, l'Ombria fountain, Llentiscle fountain, fountain del Poll, fountain del Berro, fountain del Marge, fountain de l'Abella or fountain de la Gota.
